I had an extra block from the butterfly quilt I made during the winter.  You can find that finish here:  Butterfly Finish 2016-12-24.  Waste not, want not…I decided to make a pillow.

The binding fabric was from one of the main butterflies in the quilt, though the pillow front is a much softer purple/pink color palette.  Arguably, it is a bit out there.  My rationale was that the same person now cuddles under the quilt and takes a nap with the pillow.  I had my doubts when I went for it and my doubts continue to linger.

It is a bright pop of color, which my friend Bon loved.

The quilting isn’t so obvious, but it is a stippling in white Aurifil thread.

The pillow finished at 16 x 16.

Makes me want to take a nap.  Does anyone have that feeling when a project finishes quickly?
