I Wish You a Merry QAL Block 10, Christmas Lantern {2017-11-13}

I started my last blog post I Wish You a Merry QAL Block 9, Reindeer Games {2017-10-26} with the statement “The blocks in the I Wish You a Merry QAL continue to shine!”.  Well, that is so true of this block too!  It is a Christmas Lantern that lights up the rest of the blocks.  This particular block was designed by Diane @Cwilt.  You can find the pattern here: Holiday Lantern.

Here is my version of the lantern.  What a fun block to make.

Here is a snapshot of my blocks to date.  I am behind on QAYG for the last 3 blocks.  Too many projects taking my time and with only weekends to work on the projects, well, you know how that goes!

Mosaic Blocks 1-10

My favorite so far?  Hmm.  I really can’t say.  Love the Elf, the Reindoe, and the Poinsettia but truth be told, they were all so fun to make and are really at home together that I can’t pick a favorite.  The designers who created these are AMAZING ladies with incredible talent.

I hope to start playing with layout this coming weekend and deciding on a sashing fabric.  Wish me luck.

  1. What fun! I’ve enjoyed each block as well. I’ve already got my setting plan, and will be offering more ideas when the last block comes out. I love the idea of planning now–you’ll be able to put your top together all that more quickly after the last block pattern is released! Thanks for linking up to Wednesday Wait Loss.

  2. It is so hard to stay caught up isn’t it? Such a fun quilt. I was thinking last night that I’ll likely get all the squares done and run out of time to finish it so I am challenging myself to not let that happen. 🙂
