We are nearing the finish line with the I Wish You a Merry QAL with block #11 being a North Star designed by Kathleen McCormick of Kathleen McMusing. You can find her blog post with the block pattern right here.
This block was a challenge, as using the triangle ruler is still foreign to me. Next time I will size up the cut blocks a hair to give me a little more wiggle room when sewing the seams together. That said, one of the reasons I love these QALs is to learn from the various talented designers and hosts to enhance my skills. I read peruse each of their block blogs to see the various ways they make the actual block.
I love the brightness of this particular block.
Here is an updated snapshot of my blocks to date. Close the finish line!
I continue to love the Elf, the Reindoe, and the Poinsettia blocks. They are quite fun to look at.
And here is a list of the wonderful designers who hosted this QAL with the link to their North Star posts.
