Back from my travels and family time, I had a few hours this weekend to do another catch up on blocks 4 and 5 of the Fall into a QAL.   The QAL is hosted by Partners in Design: Where Friends and Fabric Meet.

I went with a cute fabric for this one which is on the lighter side of my quilt palatte.  I’m still color challenged when picking fabrics!

Block 4, the Sunflower Block is designed by Sandy Maxfield from http://sandystardesigns.com.

I went with a version of the dark sunflowers, reflective of the deep fall colors in my other blocks, which you can see here and  here.  I just ordered framing fabric from my favorite shop, NeedleandFoot, so the blocks will pop with the right frame.

The blocks are fun and therapeutic as the cadence is just right, one every two weeks.  I look forward to the next one!
