An almost finish on Block 7 of the the Fall into a QAL, hosted by Partners in Design: Where Friends and Fabric Meet.
Block 7 of the Fall Into a QAL “Pumpkin” was designed and released by Bobbi from Snowy Days Quilting. I love the variety of pumpkins to be made for this block!
For this one, I played with a variety of fabrics. In a couple of the blocks, I used low volume background though I was playing around and will make them into mug rugs.
I really couldn’t decide what colors to use, so I added a few options and will use the extra pumpkins for one of the 4 additional blocks I am making to enlarge this quilt a bit. And those itty HSTs – they also will be made into a block. I promise it will be a fun one and will be completely improvisational.
By the time I publish this, I’ve completed Block 8 and still haven’t assembled the final acorn blocks. The image below (bad lighting and all) shows my current arrangement of the two pumpkin blocks – they are pretty danged cute to me!
Can’t wait for the next one to be released.
Patty, your Fall Into a QAL quilt is going to be stunning!
Bobbi’s little pumpkins are so addictive to make. Mug rugs are a great idea for them. I like your plans on expanding your quilt, so creative!
And your photos, as always, are so pretty!
